How to install HotPlayer on MacBook / iMac
Follow these steps to watch Netfly TV on your MacBook / iMac.
macOS · Apple Silicon & Intel
Follow the steps
- 1
Find Hot Player in the Mac App Store
Open the App Store on your Mac, search Hot Player and open its page. The download is free and comes with a free trial — after that the playlist licence is bought inside the app, and one purchase also covers your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
- 2
Install it and open Hot Player
Click Get, wait for it to finish, then open Hot Player from Launchpad or your Applications folder.
- 3
Hot Player shows you a device ID
Hot Player opens and tells you it has no playlist yet, showing a device ID next to the address hotplayer.app/upload. Keep that ID handy — you need it in the next step.
- 4
Go to hotplayer.app/upload and add your details
Open hotplayer.app/upload in your browser. Enter the device ID from the app, choose Xtream Codes as the type, then enter the server URL, username and password from your activation email and click Save.
You can do this in Safari on the same Mac — the upload page is a website, not part of the app.
- 5
Back in Hot Player, click Refresh
Return to Hot Player and click Refresh. It picks up the playlist you just saved.
- 6
Start watching
Your channels, films and series load in. Press play — you are set up.
